A bike powered by an airplane engine? That’s a first for us. The possibilities when it comes to custom bikes are boundariless and we are definitely in awe as much as you are. Retired Formula 1 racer and custom vehicle builder Tarso Marques has come up with this crossover wonder and we certainly can’t be more impressed than this.
The TMC Dumont resembles the Batmobile in every way you could ever think of. The machine features a Rolls-Royce Continental aircraft engine that delivers 300hp. The propulsion system was a unique choice for Marques with an aim to make the bike roar.
“I wanted a very different concept bike—one that people didn’t think was real,” said Marques. “It also had to be 100 percent functional and full of engineering solutions never done before.”
“The TMC Dumont deserved something really unique and powerful, and with a great sound and look. A normal motor would be so boring.”
The bike stands with 36-inch wheels which adds some aggression to the overall look of the bike. The project has definitely come a long way since Marques has jotted down his incredible idea.
“I dreamed of that bike for more than 15 years but could not get the exact engine I wanted.” The construction then lasted for approximately seven months. “Every single piece was a challenge, but I knew that the concept would work perfectly,”
Despite that, Marques has no plans on selling the TMC Dumont at the moment, but there is no doubt that this far-fetched machine is at the top of the custom bike charts.
