Heads up! The biggest motorcycle series is coming to Manfeild, New Zealand, this weekend and it is going to be as exciting as ever! This weekend bike enthusiasts will be able to witness the second round of the Suzuki Series at the Feilding venue.
This series sees a great number of New Zealand’s top riders and other impressive riders from around the world. Over the years the series witnessed riders from Japan, the United States and Australia competing and this time, British rider Peter Hickman will be making his debut in the Suzuki series after championing the Isle of Mann race earlier this year.
Sanson’s Shane Miller will be competing for the GIXXER Cup, which is a category catered to 14 to 21 year-old riders. The riders will be using the 150cc Suzuki GSX150F bikes that have a top speed of 142kmh.
“It’s the track on which I’ve put in the most laps by far, so I think that gives me a better chance,” said Miller.
He also noted that of the riders in Miller’s category weigh under 50 kilograms, while he sat at about 75kg with full race gear on. Miller came 11th in last year’s GIXXER series and is set on improving his record this year.
“We are delighted to host riders from throughout New Zealand and also overseas, from seasoned professionals to those who are enjoying their first taste of this great sport,” said Manfeild chief executive Julie Keane.
