Zero Motorcycles steps up a notch with new electric bikes

Zero Motorcycles, top gun for the electric motorcycle world for more than a decade, has definitely amped up their performance level and successfully aimed at converting more riders.

Four out of the six available bikes in the line carry a maximum range of more than 180 miles (202 miles for the Zero S and SR).

The amount varies based on how throttle-heavy the rider is. Also, the upgrades for the Z-Force power trains and interior permanent magnet (IPM) motors provide torque up to 116 ft lbs for Zero SR and DSR models.

Almost all Z-Force motor comes with a two-year waranty but the Z-Force power track carries a grand five-year unlimited-mileage waranty.

Price of the bikes are said to include a premium to be paid for being at the forefront of what is still technicaly an emerging market.
