BMW signs three-year deal with British Superbike Championship

BMW has recently taken over from Nissan and signed a three-year deal to supply the course, safety and medical car fleet to the British Superbike Championship. The manufacturer will also be supplying nine cars to the motorcycle series.

“I am delighted to welcome BMW UK as a premium partner to the championship. We continue to strive to provide the highest standards of organisation and presentation for BSB events and this new association with BMW will enhance this,” said British Superbike Championship series director Stuart Higgs.

According to sources, safety car duties will be shared between two i8 sports cars and an M2 coupe this season, while the medical team will be equipped with an X5 and two X3 M units for rapid responses.

The 5 Series GT, X5 and 4 Series Cabriowill be used for the podium presentation and will also used to transport VIPs and race directors throughout the season.
