Yamaha YS125 to be launched in mid-March

The Yamaha YBR125 is more than just an ordinary bike. The bike’s 10-hp power output never approached the A1 class limit (15hp) but it proves to be very popular among the bikes considering its great reliability of low maintenance costs and fuel efficiency. However, what could rival over that greatness could be the YS125. Retaining the YBR as the base for the new model, Yamaha designed a new EU4-compliant engine for the YS125. The bike features a five-speed motor and a four-stroke air-cooled single with one overhead camshaft commanding two valves. The maximum power of 10.5 hp (7.8 kW) is achieved considerably lower at 7,500 rpm – compared to the YBR’s 10,000 rpm limit. The bike is expected to reach the markets by mid-March.
