Polaris will be dropping Victory Motorcycle brand!

In case you missed out on the big news, Polaris Industries will be exiting the Victory Motorcycle brand that was created 18 years ago due to what is seemed to be lack of market share and competitive share. The company has made its announce on Monday and according to CEO Scott Wine, the process will begin immediately.

“Victory has struggled to establish the market share needed to succeed and be profitable. The competitive pressures of a challenging motorcycle market have increased the headwinds for the brand,” Wine said as quoted from sources.

Despite the decision, it is said that the firm’s decision will not affect Polaris’ fast-growing Indian Motorcycle brand or other divisions. Polaris also wished to maintain its presence in the Spirit Lake, Iowa, facility, where the Indian and Victory bikes are being manufactured.

“So I would like to express my gratitude to everyone associated with Victory Motorcycles and celebrate your many contributions,” Wine added.

Details upon the costs for the brand shutdown are expected to be revealed next week.
