India to make ABS compulsory for two-wheelers

In order to promote better safety for the country, the Indian government has set sights on making ABS compulsory for two-wheelers. Due to the unpredictable riding conditions and infrastructure concerns, the regulation is set to apply to bikes with an engine displacement over 125cc. For those equal or less than 125cc, manufacturers have the choice of installing either ABS or the combined brake system (CBS) in order to meet the mandate.
