Honda Africa Twin to be launched in India in first quarter of 2017

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has confirmed that it will launch its adventure bike the Africa Twin by the first quarter of 2017. Supposed to be launched last year in 2016, the bike’s entry to the Indian market was delayed due to an unfortunate earthquake in Japan in June 2016 which affected the development of the motorcycle. It is said that the Africa Twin will arrive in India as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit and will be assembled at company’s plant in Manesar. The model is features a 998cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine and a 6-speed gearbox and produces 94bhp and 98NM of torque.
