DAY 15 : LAOS : LUANG PRABANG
DAY 15 : LAOS : LUANG PRABANG ( REST DAY)
(29/06/13) – SATURDAY
LAOS: The team woke up as early as 5.30am to do a video shoot in the village of Luang Prabang. We got to witness the tradition of the Buddhist monks of Laos walking to the temple while many of the people offered some food to them. Absorbing the culture, we too embraced its beauty and offered some food to the monks.
Around 7am, we went to the Luang Prabang morning market to get some raw food to keep during our journey to China so that we could cook ourselves some food. Luang Prabang, dubbed as the ‘World Historical City’ is pretty interesting considering the building is located right next to the Mekong River. To live in the city, you would need a high cost of living compared to Malaysia. However, Laos is able to attract many tourists with its uniqueness.
At 8am, we managed to have breakfast with some of the other friends in Hotel Villa Pumalin. We made it simple with eggs and bread today. At noon, we went for a walk in the village. We had a great time there and we extended that happiness by visiting the Kuangsi Waterfall Park. Every member for the 1MWER team enjoyed the waterfall and it made us all forget how tiring the journey was. Not to mention, the view was stunning as we were surrounded by Mother Nature.
When the sun set, we worked together to prepare dinner. The menu of the night was scrambled eggs, fried anchovies, bean sprouts and salted fish. It actually tasted quite good!
