Kawasaki Z125 – Global Recall due to Shock Absorber

Recall Affecting Kawasaki Z125 Pro
Kawasaki has issued a global recall for the Z125 Pro model over a leaking shock problem.

The sealing performance of the oil seal of the rear shock absorber “may be insufficient due to using improper grease during the shock absorber manufacturing process”. “The rear shock absorber may fail due to oil leaking which could potentially cause an accident.”

The market for this motorbikes is Hot since the 125cc Honda Grom hit the market. More models from other manufacturers will come up, from Benelli and CFMoto. Despite hundreds of recalls by various automotive manufacturers, none has ever been mandatory. All have been issued by the manufacturer. Obviously a recall from a manufacturer is not a great scenario for users, but this decision making is a proving effort of care for the customers. If you find that your motorbike faces this same issue, please contact the manufacturer.
